Na-na na-na na-na na-na na-na na-na na-na na-na ...Who dat?

Funny how things can look half way through. These are not super heroes, honest.

Anyway, not a lot else is going on at the minute. I hate waiting for dollies to arrive. Horses continue to vex me but I think I might be getting there. I'm not gonna show you yet, you'll just have to wait and see.

I got a promotion recently. Well I say promotion, it's really one of those title bumps that mean very little and don't at all affect your workload or income but it's nice being an artistic director. Makes me feel special. I've got myself a minion now as well, sort of. Kinda a first among equals sort of thing, hence the title bump. Not gonna stop me lording it over everyone at every oppertunity!

Right then, I'm back off to the batcave, uh, oh, I mean the workbench of course. Obviously.

Taa taa, and remember kids, stay in school and don't do drugs.

Soaps.
A.D.O.S. (there are few other letters but they're not very complimentary...)

waiting on dollies how does that work do you sculpt them and send them off to be cast. then use the castings to sculpt greens

Its kinda a three stage process.

I've got a posable armature that I can sculpt onto directly to make individual charcters but more often than not I make a number of standard posed dollies, say attacking, advancing, charging etc. and get them cast up. When they come back I make the figures on the dollies. Every so often, when there's space on a mould, I do a few new dollies so that all of my attacking figures, for example, aren't the same.

The figures in the picture are based on a couple of my standard dollies.

Congrats on the promotion Soaps.
I may have to promote myself in the near future to keep up with you :o)
Do you get a bigger chair with this title?? :o)

Every considered using the Ebob horse dollies? They aren't that much and they are very nice.

I've thought about it believe me. Feels a bit like cheating though.

@Bill: I'd been and got the big chair ages ago. Finally my title fits my seating. :>)

Ref the ebob horses, they are worth it. As much as it may feel like cheating they save a lot of time and effort. You will need to bulk them out though as they are way too skinny to use as masters. The Heavy horse he did is actually shorter than the others, but it has a better bulk. I might use it for my Saxons as it looks like a fat pony/small horse.

Ref the chair, you obviously knew you were destined for higher things :o)
